Master of Science Programs

Admission to our MS degree program is based upon GPA, references, and evidence of strong professional commitment. Applicants are not required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) unless their overall undergraduate GPA is less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Also, MS degree students must have already satisfied the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution, and possess a license to practice nursing in NY State.

Selection for admission involves a thoughtful examination of the total application including undergraduate overall grade point average (GPA), Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores (if required), leadership abilities, references, interview and other factors that suggest the potential for academic success. Cultural and ethnic diversity are both highly valued in the School of Nursing.
